Day 3

Well just drove by the house on the way to school, and well no one there. Hopefully the project manager and the subcontractor made it to the house.... Sure would like to see some work take place.

Day 2

Well drove by the house on the way to get Andrew from school, and it looks like the contractors haven't been over. No dumpsters yet outside!!!!

After talking with my dad, I found out no one had been to the house today. So I called the contractor, and he said he would be at the house tomorrow with the subcontractor. He also said he'll have a list for me Thursday or Friday. That way construction can start either friday or Saturday.

Day 1 - take two

Today I met the contractor and movers at the house..... They are moving things out this morning, and then the project manager is going to meet with the subcontractor this afternoon... Yippee!!

Day 1 update

Well day 1 did not start yesterday as planned.... The project manager called mom this morning, and told her that they will be over Monday morning to move things out along with starting construction.....

So now to wait until Monday!

Today John and I finished putting up the wall. Plus my parents finished moving everything out for the construction movers to come and get.... They should be over sometime after 2pm...... Then construction demo begins tomorrow hopefully!!!

Today mom & dad are going to sign the contract with the contractors. With this being done, construction will start next week.....

Yesterday I worked on removing the mural from the living room wall.  If you look back at BEFORE pictures of the room, you can see a bit of it in one picture.  I still have a little more to finish on it today. I will post pictures later of the progress.

Contrators are coming

Mom talked to the contractors this morning, and they told her they can come out to the house start next week to start work........ So if that is what happens and they keep to estimated work time (6 weeks), the house (contractors part) should be complete the first week in January....... I am hoping so because I am planning on using the house for Meadow 5th birthday party at the end of January :)

It has started

Well, it has started...... Today John, the kids, and I began demolition upstairs in Bedroom B & C. Our plan is to take down the closets between the two rooms along with walling up one of the hall doors. This way it becomes one large room for Meadow.......

As you can tell from the pictures the frame of the closet is now gone. We just need to finish taking down the ceiling frame and wall off one of the doors. The contractors are going to sheet rock the walls and replace all the carpeting.
